Summary –

D.H. Lawrence (1885-1930)

This poem has been composed by a very great poet D.H.Lawrence. He was the poet of high order. He composed several poems in his life.
In this poem the poet describes a snake. He says that it is the month of july. It is very hot day. The poet goes to his water trough to drink water. He looks there a big snake. The snake is also present there to drink water. It is very large in size and gold in colour. It is poisonous. The voice of poet’s education says that this snake is innocent. He has come here only to drink water. After water he will depart. So, how can I kill this snake.
The sanke has drunk muck water. He is returning to its hole. The poet picks up a stick and hits the snake unwillingly. The snake enters the hole. The poet compares the snake to the king of exile.
It is a simple poem. It is based on the activity of snake.

Summary in Hindi –

इस कविता की रचना एक बहुत बड़े कवि डी.एच. लारेंस ने की है। वे उच्च कोटि के कवि थे। उन्होंने अपने जीवन में कई कविताओं की रचना की।
इस कविता में कवि एक साँप का वर्णन करता है। वह कहता है कि यह जुलाई का महीना है। यह बहुत गर्म दिन है। कवि पानी पीने के लिए अपने जल कुंड में जाता है। उसे वहां एक बड़ा सांप दिखाई देता है। पानी पीने के लिए सांप भी वहां मौजूद है। यह आकार में बहुत बड़ा है और रंग में स्वर्ण है। यह जहरीला होता है। कवि की शिक्षा का सबसे बड़ा अर्थ यह है कि यह सांप निर्दोष है। वह केवल पानी पीने के लिए यहां आया है। पानी के बाद वह प्रस्थान करेगा। तो, मैं इस सांप को कैसे मार सकता हूं।
संके ने मटके का पानी पी लिया है। वह अपने छेद में लौट रहा है। कवि एक छड़ी उठाता है और साँप को अनिच्छा से मारता है। सांप छेद में घुस गया। कवि साँप की तुलना निर्वासन के राजा से करता है।
यह एक सरल कविता है। यह सांप की गतिविधि पर आधारित है।
