Summary –
Keki N. Daruwala
This poem has been composed a very great poet Keki N. Daruwala . He was an I.P.S officer. He was the poet of high order. He got the sahitya award in 1984.
In this poem the poet has described a burning ghat. Several dead bodies are burning there. The sky is looking like a hot red ball. It is full of smoke. The post strolling there with his father. He says that the fire swallows everything and leaves ashes.
The poet shows his half burnt finger. He belongs to Persian religion. He says that he cannot forget that scene. Twenty years ago the fire broke out in his village in which his first son was burnt. He says that the fire forgave him. He swears that he will not commit any scene in his life. He also pardons from the fire.
Lastly, the poet says that the fire destroys everything.
Summary in Hindi –
इस कविता की रचना बहुत ही शानदार केकी एन दारुवाला ने की है। वह एक I.P.S अधिकारी थे। वे उच्च कोटि के कवि थे। उन्हें 1984 में साहित्य पुरस्कार मिला। इस कविता में कवि ने एक जलते हुए घाट का वर्णन किया है। कई शव वहां जल रहे हैं। आकाश एक गर्म लाल गेंद की तरह दिख रहा है। यह धुएं से भरा है। कवि अपने पिता के साथ वहां टहलते हुए। वह कहता है कि आग सब कुछ निगल जाती है और राख छोड़ देती है। कवि अपनी आधी जली हुई उंगली दिखाता है। वह फ़ारसी धर्म का है। वह कहता है कि वह उस दृश्य को नहीं भूल सकता। बीस साल पहले उनके गाँव में आग लगी थी जिसमें उनका पहला बेटा जल गया था। वह कहता है कि आग ने उसे माफ कर दिया। वह कसम खाता है कि वह अपने जीवन में कोई भी दृश्य नहीं करेगा। वह भी आग से क्षमा करता है। अन्त में, कवि कहता है कि अग्नि सब कुछ नष्ट कर देती है।
