Summary –

Anton Checkov (1860-1904)

This drama has been written by Anton Chekhov. He was the greatest dramatist and short story writer of Russia. A marriage proposal is a beautiful drama which is a comedy. There are three characters in his drama – Choobookov, Natallia and Lomov. They live as neighour. Lomov wants to marry Natalia. One day Lomov came to the house of Choobookov and discloed his marriage proposal. Choobookov become happy to know it. Natalia had got property from her grandfather. It was known as ox-meadow property. Before the soon after the quarrel, Lomov become senseless and the main purpose of marriage proposal was lost. Choobookov brought him in sense. After that Natalia become ready to marry Lomov. Both were married. The dramatist wants to show different qualities in man.

इस नाटक को एंटोन चेखव ने लिखा है। वह रूस के सबसे महान नाटककार और लघु कथाकार थे। एक शादी का प्रस्ताव एक सुंदर नाटक है जो एक कॉमेडी है। उनके नाटक में तीन पात्र हैं – चोबोबूकोव, नतालिया और लोमोव। वे परस्पर के रूप में रहते हैं। लोमोव नतालिया से शादी करना चाहता है। एक दिन लोमोव चोबोबूकोव के घर आया और अपनी शादी के प्रस्ताव का खुलासा किया। चोबुकोव यह जानकर खुश हो जाते हैं। नतालिया को अपने दादा से संपत्ति मिली थी। इसे बैल-मेदो संपत्ति के रूप में जाना जाता था। झगड़े के तुरंत बाद, लोमोव संवेदनहीन हो गया और शादी के प्रस्ताव का मुख्य उद्देश्य खो गया। चोबूकोव ने उसे समझ में लाया। उसके बाद नतालिया लोमोव से शादी करने के लिए तैयार हो जाती है। दोनों के विवाह हो चुके थे। नाटककार मनुष्य में विभिन्न गुणों को दिखाना चाहता है।
